Background  |  Distillerie d’Indochine – Home of Sampan Rhum – is a distillery based on the beaches of Central Vietnam and producer of award-winning Sampan Rhum. Their mission is “to create the finest agricole rhum in Vietnam” in a sustainable way. They also offer distillery tours and a concept bar with signature cocktails. 

Objective  |  Our job was to define a visual identity which gave off its tropical beach location in an inviting way, yet highlighted its high-end undertakings. Importantly, the identity needed to harmonise with the one of the rhum it produces – Sampan.

Outcome  |  We used key elements that symbolised the distillery, namely barrels and palm trees, which were neatly juxtapositioned. The visual was complimented with bold, uppercase typefaces. A slight faded effect was given to the logo to give it a classic feel.
